Use this checklist before ordering tile so cuts, waste, layout, and setting materials are not missed.
Tile quantities
- Project area in square feet
- Tile size and box coverage
- Waste percentage and boxes to order
Setting materials
- Mortar or adhesive type
- Grout color and quantity
- Spacers, leveling clips, sealant, and waterproofing
Layout notes
- Starting line and focal wall
- Cut tile locations
- Trim pieces, edge profiles, and transition points
Planning notes
- Order from the same dye lot when color consistency matters.
- Add more waste for diagonal layouts or many small cuts.
